First, we begin to discover why "AEáL" ? Sakis
(frontman and vocal) acknowledges this new vision of the group, consisting of looking to the roots of the ancient Greek tradition, which translates into a large burden of indigenous musical elements. This album features a unique contribution, the Traditional Choir Pliades originating in Ipiros, which mainly focuses to sing at funerals. He himself has lent his art to introduce "AEáL" ancestral air on the theme of the disc: the feelings of the warrior in the battle. "AEáL" is the Latin alphabet transcription of an ancient Greek word meaning catastrophe, destruction or devastation. And this record is all that noise.
is notably the band's growth musically and compositionally, this "AEáL" is continuing and a saga that began with "Theogony" , always in vision warrior and sounds when you say "personally", eyes closed, transported to that world war. Sakis
singer is undoubtedly a very complete, due to his diverse vocal range that few musicians possess the scene. ROTTING CHRIST actually has a plus that stands as a great training to have in their ranks Sakis . Also noteworthy is the work of Giorgos guitar, these Greeks always characterized by the sound of six strings, so distinctive to them.
As mentioned above, this CD helped the Pliades Choir, but also included a special participation: I'm talking about a lady with a unique voice and that more than one would fly head in his notes: Mrs. Diamanda Galas , adding his voice on the last track "Orders From the Dead"; is actually a cover of itself, made by ROTTING CHRIST and counting their collaboration.
Here we leave the tracklist of this great work:
