How To Do A Full Sew In Weave With A Bang

16 - DyNAbyte "2kX"

Second release by the Industrial Metal band that brings together two members of Cadaveria in their ranks. The previous record, "Extreme Mental Piercing" had meant a very auspicious debut, back in 2004. And we also see a significant influence for bands from around the world that appeared imitating the new sound, a blend of metallic guitars with cyber and futuristic machinery.

If that "Extreme Mental Piercing" we liked a lot, especially by the undoubted quality of his compositions, "this brand " 2kX " not far behind ... On the contrary!

The album, appeared on 10 October this year, or ... makes only twelve days, and unique format flash drive, USB port, has to HOOK twelve extremely powerful and compositions, not far from those that made the earlier work.

formation has DyNAbyte Cadaveria (ex Opera IX, Cadaveria actal ) on vocals, John (also a member of Cadaveria, Necrodeath and Raza de Odio ) on keyboards and bass, and LJ Dusk on guitar and keyboards. Of course, the battery is programmed, which in our view, provide much in the style of DyNAbyte .

The list of topics of "2kX" is: "Equilibrium", "CTF", "Normal", "Hereditary Neuronavigation", "Cold Wind of Fear", "Artmix", "Speed," "The Mummy" (first promo single), "I'm Not Scared," "Stones," "Wave" and "Blinded By My Light" .

The style of these songs sailing in the cold seas of Industrial Sound: machining, computer and cyber-tinged, but never losing sight of the melodies, and some juicy arrangements are felt especially in "I'm Not Scared " or "Blinded By My Light" .

Anyway, on to a brief descriptive summary of each of the tracks:

1) "Equilibrium" : Excellent start of the album. Typical Hiter song with a catchy chorus in which the voice of looks Cadaveria. One of the two best pieces on the CD.
2) "FTL" : Slowly, with an intro based on clean vocals. Part very well sung, it becomes omnipresent Industrial sound.
3) "Normal" : One of the fastest drive, but the most. In turn, also one of the most metalheads. With little connection to the more techno side DyNAbyte .
4) "Hereditary Neuronavigation" : very present here are the highlights of the Nu Metal band. With good guitar solos and a few industrial remains.
5) "Cold Wind of Fear" : Theme-time, well sung. The voice of Cadaveria shines in the chorus. There is a preponderance of the work of the viola, but at times the musicians fail to prevent the song falls into a certain monotony.
6) "Artmix" : With a good intro Industrial and treatment sharper voice, it sounded like a typical mid-album composition.
7) "Speed" : In this we see for the first time almost danceable arrangements. guitar LJ Dusk carried forward by the weight of the chorus, and thus the hook of the song.
8) "The Mummy" : First cut media. It's a hit, and the guitar again has much responsibility for this. Cadaveria gives you more room to grunts.
9) "I'm Not Scared" : This notice more pop arrangements that the rest of the CD. It is less heavy piece of "2kX" , but does not ignore some epic tone in the chorus. The voice at times becomes shrill and sharp.
10) "Stones" : It has an intro and outro very climatic. It is very melodic and Hiter, the voice of Cadaveria natural becomes more serious and very powerful.
11) "Wave" : Theme-time. It is quite heavy, and stands the chorus: first shouted, sung later.
12) "Blinded By My Light" : It is the longest song on the disc. It consists of a sound intro soft, and throughout his nearly six minutes, violas perceive melodic and powerful heavys. The work makes a calm voice, and the track is really sung. Worthy closing "2kX" , perhaps the best song on the album.

To summarize, the main change we noticed in this second work of DyNAbyte in relation to the first, passing through the voices less crystallinity growls and more. Cadaveria is singing very, very well, and your vocal cords look at these twelve titles, marking a nice contrast with the cold modernity of the Industrial sound. Technically the album

is perfect (remember that was entirely self-produced by the trio), with a wide sharpness in the sound aspect. The artwork could have been better, but is not bad.
Undoubtedly, this is one of the best records this year 2010, which will probably also one of the highlights of the genre. Highly recommended for those who dare to experiment away from the territory of more traditional metal.
